Kim...Tim...???

Last night, after dinner, I asked Michael if he had seen some pictures a classmate from PT school had sent him...this is what I said, "Hey, did you see Kim's new baby? She sent some pictures." Kiera responded with, "I want to see Aunt Julia's new baby!!" Funny, how their sense of time works :)

OWIE!!

Mikenna got her little pointer finger sliced today while I was exercising. I'd just jumped on the eliptical and then there was a cry...she must have placed her hand on the back end of the machine, and when the wheel came around, it grabbed her little finger, pinching and slicing it :( I made a red mark on top of her band-aid to show where and how long the cut is. Her daddy came right home and fixed her up. Mommy was very scared and felt sad that because I wasn't paying attention.... :S Mikenna is fine...Mike said the wound wasn't as deep as I'd first thought...so...my poor baby.

It's DONE!!

Yes, it's finished...and now it's glued...so...where should we put it?

Drool....drool....drool...

Mikenna over the past two weeks, has aquired 4 new teeth!! The molars are still working their way through, and she's still running a temp (as well as LONG nights)...hopefully it will be over soon (at least temporarily, until the next ones come)...in the meantime...yesterday alone, she went through8 bibs!! I didn't even change them until they were throughly soaked too! (As well as her clothing underneath.) She just drools and drools and drools...but she's still so CUTE!!

FINALLY!! SNOW!!

...but not much of it...o-well...the girls went out and enjoyed the cold weather and white snow for a bit this afternoon...I do wish we could get in a good snow storm...

Fun Weekend!!

Julia and Tim came for a quick visit over the 3 day weekend! It was so FUN to have them around. Aaron and Allison, Ted and Stacy, and their kids all came over to hang out! We shopped, ate yummy food, had great laughs and conversation, played games and worked on the puzzle!! The girls LOVED having their Aunt Julia and Uncle Tim around.

Happy Birthday Grandma Gale!!

MLK day...

So, Kiera & Kaylee came home today with the announcement that school was canceled because it was Martin King's Birthday...after we chatted and etc, it's nice to know that they semi-actually understand what he stood for and what he helped our country accomplish. Kaylee's planning on giving a short lesson for FHE...

Puzzlemania...

Do any of you remember when Tetris was big? Late 80's early 90's...my friends and I played it so much sometimes, that I would see the game everywhere...on the street, in my dreams, in school...is this making sense? Well, lately I have jigsaw puzzles on my mind. The other day when we were smoked out for the day, I felt like I was having puzzle withdrawals. Anyhow, I am hoping to get a 5000 peicer done soon. My parents bought it for us when we still lived in Iowa, we started the first 1/2...oh...3 Christmas' ago...which I finished early 2006, and Michael finally glued 2 weeks ago...and now we've begun the 2nd 1/2... the other 1/2 is under the white paper under the part we are putting together. Question is, what are we going to do with it once finished? Any ideas?

ARGH!!!

Well, I suppose on the brighter side, we know the fire/smoke alarms work in our home. At 5:55 AM the house alarm went off...I guess the smoke detectors are connected to the alarm, because the WHOLE house was beeping!! Uncle was lighting a fire, left it unattended with the fireplace door still open-which maybe he does each morning when he lights the fireplace-but for whatever reasons...this morning...instead of fire there was smoke BILLOWING in!!! We wake up, Mike asks, "What's that?" Me, "I think it's a smoke detector." Mike jumps out of bed, as we realize it's not just a smoke detector, but the house alarm getting louder and louder. He's punching in numbers, I go into the entryway, where Uncle is punching in numbers (doesn't work if 2 people are trying to disarm at the same time)...I point out the other room is filling with smoke as the alarm goes off again, I turn it off, it goes off again, I turn it off, it goes off again, ETC. ETC.!! Meanwhil

Echo...

Mikenna is our newest little echo...if you listen closely you can tell that she has the intonations...and yes, sometimes some of the names sound the same...and Julia, notice I did say your name cleary and she said, "Joo-joo"...in fact, that was the first time she'd done that! BTW: she hasn't been feeling well these past few days...100-103 fever...runny nose...her bottom 2 molars are trying to break through :( The left side just broke through, and the right side is very ow-y looking.

Smokey House!!

So, many of you know that we have been using the fireplace as the main source of heating for our home...of which we love, but not on windy days...anyhow...we had our first "burn" incident on the carpet...I'll have to post a pic later...and here it is Windy days: I believe we are missing a (hopefully essential) part on the chimney, because when it blows (as it often does here in the windy Tri-Cities) smoke sometimes gets blown in. Michael will be working on investigating this. Yesterday: As I was headed out yesterday, to run errands and etc., I decided to ask if Uncle wanted to come along. He agreed and out the door we went. An hour later, he looks at me and says (in chinese of course, but I translated for this post), "Oh no, I think I left something boiling on the stove." Grrr...Luckily, I got a hold of Ted, who was having a slow moment at work, so he ran to my home, and yes indeed...something was left boiling on the stove. Boy, was it STINKY!! We'd just got

What a fun way to celebrate the entrance of 2007!! We had several families come over, with their children, and had a fun evening of festivities...Aaron & Allison, Ted & Stacy, and our friends Karla & Justin, Elisabeth & Joel...and a grand total of 18 kids! Luckily it wasn't too crazy...the guys play Halo for a bit, while the mom's played Nertz and the kids played Memory, Chess, Checkers, roasted Smores, etc. The kids watched a movie before bedtime at 10 pm... I had each family's kids in a seperate room to sleep which worked out WONDERFULLY (except for a few babies) thus leaving us parentals to enjoy the evening without children running rampant through our home!! We munched on gobs and gobs of yummy food, and laughed while we played Mad Gab and several rounds of Murder. At abouts midnight...Aaron passed out the bubbly and Ted ran to his car for some leftover Roman Candles from the 4th. But instead of setting our neighbors' roofs on fire, they decided to l
