...

The other day Kassidy was playing with some flannel board figures that I had gotten for Christmas. This particular set was for Bible and Book of Mormon stories. Kassi was laying out various pieces and then all of a sudden she exclaimed, "Mom!! Look!! It's the golden plates!!" She was very excited to show me the tiny piece of flannel with picture of the golden plates. I'm glad she's learning and remembering...so whoever taught her about the golden plates, THANK YOU!!

Time with family!!

Image
We had a very fun weekend with our extended family. I noticed my cousin Pauline put up a few more details as to some of the things we did. Mostly we enjoyed spending time with everyone, especially since Ada is getting ready to go on her mission, Honolulu, HI-March 7th. Mike got to help with baptisms early Saturday morning(I think they were able to do over 200 names!!), then we both were able to attend the family session that evening. My cousins were great sports by helping to watch the little ones...it was a 6pm session, and then we (adults) enjoyed dinner out!! It was fun to spend time without the kiddo's creating caos. A great way to celebrate Chinese New Year & yummy food that wasn't all seafood!! Thank you's to Aunt Audry and Uncle Ted for including our little family!! Brenda...can you still send me pics so I can post them??? PLEASE!!!

Fun in the Snow!!

Image
On our way up to visit family this past President's weekend, we made a stop near Snoqualmie ski resort to let the kids sled. Since it was raining a little, no one else was around so Mike found a small hill, right near the parking lot, unloaded the kids and down the hill they went. I know he got more of a work out than the rest of us combined, but the girls LOVED it!! Well, maybe Mikenna was a bit leary, but she had some fun :)

SMILE!!

Image
Those of you who know my mom, she hardly ever smiles in pictures (on purpose)! Well, she has a bit of a smile here! We are excited to see them in a few more weeks!!

Happy Chinese New Year!!

Image
Here are the girls...Kaylee is being grumpy because she say's her new outfit is too small. The rest were happier, but glad to take the outfits off...except for Mikenna...she doesn't like to change her clothes sometimes. They loved the pink ribbons that came with the outfits. Right before I took the picture, Mikenna was throwing a fit because she didn't have 2 of the ribbons, so, my sweet Kiera said, "Can I let her hold mine mom?" Anyhow, they spent a few hours dancing in the entry way with the ribbons. Thanks Tanya!!

More Happy Birthdays!!

Happy Birthday song to our favorite Aunt Tanya and cousin Kirsten!!

my exercise partner...

The other night I was going through "Stacy's Month One" workout...while doing my lunges, Mikenna was sitting on the couch watching, then she got down, stood by me...shuffled from one foot to the other, then dropped to one knee. With each exercise, she did her own little version. Mike caught this one on the camera...I just had to give the cues of "bum up...bum down...bum up..."

...run, mikenna, run...

...notice she signs "more" right after the 2nd clip starts...

...part IV...more curls...

Image
The girls looked very cute today for church. I put curlers in all their hair, including Mikenna (well 1 curler), which you could probably tell in the pic I've posted ...Anyhow...it's fun to see a direct result of my trying to cute them up! Everyone loved their curls!! Here is a pre-curls pic, with their daddy on his b-day!

...tag...

...six wierd things about me... 1. I used to eat pickels with honey drizzled on it...but that was in high school. 2. I like to watch general conference with the ASL on the side. 3. I like to talk about other people (on the sly) to my husband in a mixture of Cantonese & my version of Mandarine. (I wish I could do this with my friends too.) 4. I don't mind having game/movie night at my home, with several families & their children, as long as the kids are in bed by 9:30. 5. If I could be 100% sure I'd have a boy, or twins, I'd have another baby(ies). 6. The girls & I would like a tent trailer to go camping in! So, I don't believe I have 6 people on my blog list to "tag" so, if you are so inclined to tag yourself...go for it!

Happy Birthday Michael!!

Image
We had a fun "grown up" gathering Friday night. Michael's mom was gracious enough to watch the girls, and they even spent the night! We had our friends Karla/Justin, Taunya/Jason, Janelle/Michael, and (family) Allison/Aaron over for pie and snacks, then major laughing moments during Guesstures & Mad Gab a few rounds of Murder. On Saturday we went bowling and then Michael's family came over for lunch, movie & another round of "Happy Birthday!" Red Robin will be sometime later this week!!

...bouncy...bouncy...part III

...here is a pic and a video of Kaylee's hair!! She actually didn't like it...said it looked too much like Kassidy's curls (too short and close to her head.) But I thought it was perfect!! By the time she came home from school, the curls had relaxed quite a bit but still looked good...Kassi and Kiera are already asking when I'll put the rollers in their hair...{sigh}...at least I've only got 3 heads to worry about for now...oh...add mine and that's 4...hmmm....

...just like my dad...

Image
Tonight, Mikenna decided it was time to take matters into her own hands and feed herself. My baby is growing up!! She managed to get quite a bit of dinner into her mouth and not so much on the surrounding areas :) It was cute...Mike just gave up trying to feed her, set the spoon in the bowl and put it in front of her, and just looked at her with his head on his hand...so she, pulled the bowl closer, picked up the spoon, rested her head on her hand and began to eat.

...one...or two?...

Image
...my silly baby figured out how to have two binkies in at one time...she usually likes to carry around the extra, but I guess she thought it was fun to try something new!

...curl results...part II

Image
Curls...well, our first attempt was ok...pretty, but too loose, especially for Kassidy...so we shopped...and then borrowed a friend smaller rollers...and...TA DAH!!! Major curls...Kaylee's comment after I took out Kassi's curlers this morning was, "She looks like Tim's brother!!" They have relaxed a bit during the day, but we will have to remember not to roll them so tight. Kiera's...well, the rollers were most likely too big, so, I'll have to try smaller ones next time. Plus, because her hair is thicker and heavier...the curls were mostly gone by the time she came home from school. Tonight it was Kaylee's turn...big rollers, tighter roll...we'll see what happens!!

...if you have a weak stomache...

maybe you shouldn't watch this :) when I video-ed this, Kaylee thought it was funny to do some prompting...FYI...before I video-ed this...no prompting was used, I'm not sure where she picked this up from...it is slightly disgusting... ;P

before...after...

Image
Well, I used to be spread out in the dining room, and piled all over in the den...but since I'm trying to get into the "mind set to scrap" I reorganized the den...I may not have truly captured the chaos with my first 2 pics...but hopefully the last pic you can see it IS more organized...perhaps, those of you who have actually been in the room can see it's neater :S

Curls...curls...curls...

Image
Well, we are hoping for cute curls...trick is will she sleep in them...we will keep you posted!

While I exercise...

...some of you know~unless I'm on the phone chatting away~I usually watch past conference talks , . (Apr 2003 to present: watch individual talks; Oct 2000 to Oct 2002: watch entire sessions; anything older...not sure...plus if you want you can even watch it in ASL!) Nice-especially since having kids, I don't really get much out of conference. Anyhow...just wanted to say that Elder Rober C. Oaks' talk on patience is one that keeps coming to mind. So, this is just a FYI: for those of you in the frame of mind to be inspired on patience...it's been great for me. Not that I have much or more patience...but for the sanity of my girls and myself...

Guess What!!

I'm scrapbooking again!!
